Dr May Ng MBBS (Hons) FHEA FRCPCH MSc PhD Dr May Ng holds a dual accreditation specialist qualification in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes. She is based in Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust and is Clinical Director for Paediatrics. She has an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the Institute of Translational Medicine, University of Liverpool and is the Chair of the North West Paediatric Diabetes Network. She qualified in Medicine at Sydney University, Australia under a full medical scholarship and trained in Australia and Manchester/Mersey deaneries. She completed an MSc in Medical Science in 2005 and was awarded the Medical Research Council Fellowship grant in 2006. She completed her doctoral thesis in neonatal endocrinology in 2010 and is on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Pediatric Sciences, International Journal of Pediatrics and Child Health and WebMed Plus, the Reviewer Board for the Journal of Pediatric Biochemistry and is a regular invited referee for numerous journals. Dr Ng has held over £250,000 in research grants and is an active researcher. She has produced a book chapter and over 70+ publications (32 peer reviewed research papers, 29 as first/senior author) including two Cochrane reviews and has presented at more than 100+ meetings locally and abroad.
