High stress levels are often experienced in an achievement-oriented academic environment and can wear you out physically and emotionally. This workshop will help students learn how to reduce sources and symptoms of stress, and cope with stressors that cannot be eliminated. Students from freshmen though seniors are encouraged to attend as well as students in all majors. 4 Time Management Workshop Part 1 (OAPA) Wed, 10/14/2015, 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Academic Services Registrar’s Conference Room (Ask at the Registrar’s Office front counter to be “buzzed in” for the workshop.) Unsure whether you an impeccable or faulty planner? This workshop will help students become aware of their strengths and weaknesses in time management as well as provide tips on how to improve. There will be a discussion on different styles of planning, creating a master schedule for the semester and more! This workshop is a continuation of the Time Management Workshop Part 1. There will be a review of the previous workshop and students will have an opportunity to discuss progress in their time management. Learn strategies and techniques for working more efficiently, feeling more in control of your schedule, and making time for relaxing activities. Preparing to Graduate (OAPA) Wed, 10/28/2015, 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Academic Services Room 111 This workshop includes a discussion of the ideal timeline to follow that will lead you to graduation. The process of applying for graduation is also discussed including application deadlines, discrepancies regarding credits, and final grades. Additional concerns will be covered ranging from receiving graduation materials, transcripts, and double majoring and minoring. Do you get so nervous that you find it hard to concentrate? In this workshop, learn strategies to deal with the anxiety related to studying and test taking. This workshop focuses on how to succeed during finals including staying calm, effective study methods, and time management. There will be a discussion including how to get organized ahead of time and stay informed.
