EMERALD SOCIETY WILL NOT REFUND ANY DEPOSITS OR PAYMENTS MADE
FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE LESS THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE YOUR FUNCTION

The agreement shall be considered accepted and validated once both parties have
signed below. It is the understanding of The Emerald Society that you are an
authorized agent of the group or person entered above. A signature by facsimile or
electronic means shall be considered binding for both parties.
I have read the above contract and policies of The Emerald Society. Upon signing this
document; I realize this contract is binding for both parties.

Hall Rental Charges/ Deposits
Hall rental fee is $350.
A $100 deposit is required to secure the date. THIS DEPOSIT IS NONREFUNDABLE, if the customer cancels the event with less than 30 days notice. If
the party cancelling does so 30 days or more prior to the reserved event, the
full deposit will be refunded.
Deposits and final payments can be made by cash, check or money order to:

Hall Capacity- 99 people
Hall Setup- On the day/ night of a booked event, renters will be allowed access
to the hall 60 minutes prior to their reserved event start time, during which they
can decorate and setup food, etc. The Emerald Society provides and sets up banquet
style, round tables that are 5 feet in diameter with 8 chairs each, as many as renters
request.
In addition, we have 5 high-top pub tables with stools by the bar, and stools along
the bar itself. The table tops are an off white plastic material. Some renters bring
disposable linens to cover them or some bring cloth linens. The Emerald Society
does not provide a linen service.
We do also provide six foot and 8 foot, long, rectangular tables along the walls for
food, catering trays, coffee, gifts, and DJ’s on stage, etc. Renters can use whichever
catering service they choose, or bring in their own food, and setup up lit sterno
canisters under trays to keep food warm. They may also use the oven in our small
kitchen to heat food up. The oven is a standard home size baking and burner top
electric oven. We do provide an electric 40-cup coffee urn as well. Renters would
need to bring ground coffee, cream/ milk, sugar, cups and stirrers, etc.
Renters if they’d like, can bring their own soda and juice for any kids if they’d like.
The bartenders do have soda guns for alcoholic beverages as well.
Music: Renters not using a DJ can plug an Iphone/ MP3 player into our cable via a
headphone jack that connects to our small house speakers. Instructions on how to
activate the house system are on the stage, near the amplifier controls.
Renters may not bring their own alcohol.
Liquor Regulations
The Emerald Society holds a liquor license granted by the
City of Boston and must follow all “rules and regulations for holders of alcoholic
beverage licenses.
Management reserves the right to refuse or suspend alcohol service at any time to
any Patron(s). Neither patrons nor patrons’ guests are allowed to bring alcoholic
beverages into the facility. No persons under 21 will be allowed to consume
alcoholic beverages. A positive MASSACHUSETTS driver’s license is
required. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Display and Decorations
All Displays and/or decorations shall be subject to the
approval of our management.
Liability and Security
The Emerald Society reserves the right to inspect and
control all private functions. Liability for damages to the premises or equipment
will be charged to those responsible for the booking of the function.
