Long-Term Goals (5 yrs.) for Santa Ana College ESL/Basic Skills (2012-17)
A. Create and implement integrated academic support services for all students with
standardized training and evaluation of tutors in all learning centers.
B. We will see a five-year increase of 5% in the number of students who advance from
3 or fewer levels below transfer to qualify for transfer-level mathematics
C. The percentage of FEP students who advance from two levels below transfer in math
to qualify for a transfer applicable mathematics course in one academic year will
increase 7-10% over the next five years.
D. The percentage of Fast Track students who advance from two levels below transfer in
math to qualify for a transfer applicable mathematics course in one academic year
will increase 7-10% over the next five years.

A.4 Institutional policies facilitate student completion of necessary developmental coursework
as early as possible in the educational sequence.
A.5 A comprehensive system of support services exists, and is characterized by a high degree of
integration among academic and student support services.
Policy updates regarding funding for college-wide programs and
centers, SSSP, Student Equity, Assessment (use of ERWC), etc.

