Both cardiologists will be joining the BMC cardiology department July 1, 2013. Jason Wollmuth, MD, joins BMC from The Heart Center in Bend and Nahel Farraj DO, comes to BMC from Central Arizona Heart Specialists in Chandler, Arizona. “BMC Cardiology now encompasses a broad spectrum of cardiac care for our patients with providers specializing in non-invasive, interventional and electrophysiology cardiology all under our TotalCare™ model,” said Dr. Sean Rogers, BMC Medical Director. “The addition of these two physicians provides a significant value to our patients to receive comprehensive cardiac care provided by one cohesive team.” BMC Cardiologists work closely with primary care providers and other specialists to provide the most comprehensive and exceptional care to our patients with cardiovascular disease. Dr. Wollmuth joins BMC from the Heart Center. He is a board certified Cardiologist, and specializes in coronary and peripheral angiography and stenting. A graduate of Willamette University, Dr. Wollmuth received his Medical Degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. He completed his internship at the University of Utah, his residency at the University of Arizona, and his Cardiology Fellowship from Washington University School of Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Farraj joins BMC from Central Arizona Heart Specialists where he specialized in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology with a special interest in peripheral vascular disease management. He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease through the American Board of Internal Medicine. A graduate of University of Miami, Dr. Farraj received his Medical Degree from Midwestern University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ where he held the position of Chief Fellow. Dr. Wollmuth and Dr. Farraj will practice at the BMC main campus at 1501 NE Medical Center Drive.
