MASH2000 Deployment Guidelines Deployment Using Constant Tension 1. Constant Tension mode is only active when “wire out” is greater than 30 meters. It will turn off if wire out decreases below 30 meters. It will not turn on if wire out is less than 30 meters. 2. For the best spooling, tension must be maintained on the line. 3. Pressing the constant tension button will enter constant tension mode at the current tension. 4. Tension control is on page 4 on the winch control screen. 5. Using <(F1),<<(F2),>>(F3),>(F4) the desired tension can be incremented or decremented. Single arrows denote 5 lb changes while double arrows denote 50 lb changes. 6. To pay out, decrease the desired tension. 7. Use caution in setting the tension. Decreasing the tension further than required will cause the system to respond slower to tension increases than expected. 8. After the release has been triggered switch the winch out of constant tension mode and recover in speed control mode (standard winch operations) Recovery of Moorings 1. Once the pickup line has been recovered, remove the floats. 2. Secure the line to winch spool by taking off the keeper plate on the level wind and attaching the line to the winch spool. 3. Replace keeper plate. 4. Haul in mooring.
