Other Materials: -None Announcements: Warm-up: Vowel Sounds Word Tree -Ss listen to T read words and choose left or right -Ss try to get the same number at the end. -After doing together, Ss work in pairs or groups. (5 mins /5) Review: Check the answers from the Grid activity. Practice pronouncing the words together. Point to each word and the class reads it. Play Happy Families Similar to “Go Fish” Put students in groups of 3-4 Read rules from handout Students try to get as many complete word families as possible by asking (with correct pronunciation) for the other cards. (20 minutes, or remainder of class / 1:50) Homework: Discuss the questions on Part E of your worksheet as homework. If possible, discuss the questions with someone you meet this weekend!
