Volunteer Work

Volunteered 144 hours from 2009 to 2012 working with kids from grades 1-6 twice a month at
my church during Sunday school.
-My job was to make sure kids were participating in the activities and remained
respectful during a teaching or while anyone was speaking.
-I was also required to prepare activities for the kids such as crafts and games in addition
to performing an occasional skit in order to illustrate a lesson.

Member of the National Honours Society at Winston Churchill High School for 2011-2012 school
year.
- Each member is required to complete at least 20 volunteer hours in providing service to
his/her community.

Assisted with a kid's basketball camp for the past 2 years during Christmas break teaching
children basic basketball skills and sportsmanship.

Volunteered as a drummer for my local church approximately 4 hours per month for the past 4
years.
Accomplishments

During my High School years I have had the privilege of receiving the following awards:
-Spirit Award-received during my senior year, awarded to students who have
dedicated their lives to serving Winston Churchill High School.
-Most Improved Player Award-in football (2011) and in basketball (2010/11 year).
-Linemen of the Year award -received during my senior year of football
-Rugby Pride award(2012)-Grade 11
-Bulldog of the Year basketball award(2012/13)- My most memorable award presented to
the player demonstrating "unwavering determination, unshakable confidence and
unbreakable focus, with a never quit attitude."
