This course taught me the importance of the teacher’s demeanor, reaction, tone,
approach and even proximity in the classroom. This was a semester long six hour lab
in which I was appropriately coached on how to interact with children when teaching.
I learned positive guidance techniques which house a plethora of strategies in order to
reinforce good behavior. Though these strategies are sometimes limited to early
childhood, I gained great experience in interacting with children as an educator would.
