March of Dimes Research and Flyer Background Information FBLA members will sponsor a Baby Shower for the March of Dimes. Students will research the March of Dimes and create an informational flyer inviting students and teachers to the baby shower. When is Prematurity Awareness Month? Explain the purpose of the month. 10. When is World Prematurity Day? Explain the purpose of the day. 11. How is the March of Dimes funded? 12. List five sponsors of the March of Dimes? 13. What is the single most important cause of neonatal deaths (babies under 28 days) and the second leading cause of death in children under 5? 14. What can you do to help the March of Dimes? Part II Use MsWord to create a flyer inviting all students and school faculty members to a baby shower sponsored by FBLA for the March of Dimes. The shower will be held on World Prematurity Day. The items will be donated to the local Department of Children’s Services to give to families with premature babies. The flyer should be designed to attract the attention of high school students. Make the design fun, interesting and creative. Create the flyer using a blank MsWord document, .5 margins, two font sizes and styles, the March of Dimes colors for accent colors, textboxes, auto shapes, word art, and picture effects in your design.
