25/14 Masonry Restraint System - Stainless steel channel and tie system for use with partial fill insulation and SFS steel studwork. Wincro WC27 Masonry Restraint System Specification Data Sheet (F30) Project: Wincro Metal Industries Ltd manufacture a wide range of corrosion resistant fixings, produced using high quality grade 1.4301 (304) stainless steel. Grade 1.4401 (316) stainless steel can be specified for use in corrosive environments. The range is designed to satisfy most standard masonry to masonry, masonry to concrete and masonry to steel work applications. Wincro’s Technical Design Team are available to discuss and produce bespoke ties to customer specific requirements. Wincro can also provide a design and specification service and it is recommended that they are consulted early in the design process. F30 ACCESSORIES/ SUNDRY ITEMS FOR BRICK/ BLOCK/ STONE WALLING 220 WALL TIES FOR – Wincro WC27 Channel Tie System Designed for use with SFS steel channel studwork, the Wincro WC27 masonry restraint system is designed to tie brickwork back to steel studwork inner leafs. The three-part system comprises of a vertically installed Wincro WC27 25/14 Channel with prepunched holes at 112.5mm centres for use with WBSDDZP dual thread self-drilling/self-tapping screws and WTS2C27 Safe ties to restrain masonry. The system can accommodate various thickness rigid insulation batts. The channel is fixed back to the steel stud using the Wincro WBTLWD driver and WBSDD#ZP screws (without deforming the insulation). WTS2C27 wall ties are inserted at any point along the channel’s length and are built into the bed joints of the outer leaf as work proceeds. Consult with Wincro technical literature for details. Wincro can also provide a design and specification service and it is recommended that they are consulted early in the design process. Manufacturer: Wincobank Works, Fife Street, Sheffield, S9 1NJ. Applications with a 50mm open cavity require 100mm long ties. Installation: WC27 channel incorporates pre-punched holes at 112.5mm close centres to ensure a fixing position is always located near the end of a length, even when it is cut on site. It should be fixed to steel studwork at 450mm (max) vertical centres. The channel has a 16mm opening to easily accommodate a drive socket and washer for the BSDDZP fixing screws. The spacing of ties is based on the height of the building and its geographical location, as table below. Vertical Tie Spacing Based on WC27 Channels at 600mm Horizontal centres.
