CHS – Localities This report is limited to only those CHS Services that input their data onto the Paris system and the data is based on referrals into these CHS Services, received or open between 01/04/2013 and 31/12/2013. The CHS Data is split into 3 Business Stream which are:Children’s - These Services Include: Child – Health Visiting (Health Visiting Teams) Child Therapies (Physio & OT and Speech & Language) Child – School Health (School Health Teams and Special Schools Teams) UCHS (Universal Child Health Services Teams) Immunisation Nurses (Immunisation Teams) Adult – Mothers (Breast Feeding Peer Support and Family Nurse Partnership) Localities - These Services Include: Paediatric Nursing (Paediatric Continence) District Nursing (District Nursing Teams and Out of Hours Nursing) Adult Nursing (Admiral Nursing, District Nurse Liaison, Adult Continence, Specialist Palliative Care, Funded Nursing, Case Management, Leg Ulcer Teams, Tissue Viability) Targeted - These Services Include: Knowsley Primary Care Mental Health Phlebotomy Treatment Rooms Knowsley Census Age Group 42.5% of patients are aged 14 and under. This is high due to every new born child within the registered population being referred for birth visits and inoculations as well as school children being recorded by school health teams. There is 100% data completeness with regards to the Census Age Group. Children’s services have only 30 patients whereby the Gender has not been recorded whilst Targeted and Localities have 162 & 121 respectively. 55.2% of patients using CHS Services are Female compared to the population of 51.7% within Knowsley and St. Helens. Marital Status Marital status is the lowest populated field with only 3.1% of patients providing this information which equates to 1,911 patients out of 61,795. It may be worth investigating whether this is recorded against a child’s record or whether it is simply left blank? Ethnicity 30.6% of patients have not provided their Ethnicity. This needs to be addressed as Ethnicity is on the Community Data Set. 67.1% of patients with recorded Ethnicity are White; English / Welsh / Scottish / Northern Irish / British which is well under the Census percentage of 96.35% for Knowsley and St. Helens. Religion 92.2% of patients have not provided their Religion. Of the 4,813 patients that did provide this information. Christianity was the highest with 4,484 patients (7.3%). CHS – Targeted This report is based on data between 01/04/2013 and 31/12/2013. Census Age Group 25.2% of patients in this category are aged 75 and over. 23.1% of patients were under 35 The highest individual category is aged 50-54 (8.2%) which equates to 1,203 patients. The age group field was 100% populated within CHS Localities. Gender This field was 98.9% populated with 1.1% of patients not providing this information. Knowsley Primary Care Mental Health has the highest compliance with 99.2% of patients providing this information. Overall the number of female patients was higher than male. 56.2% female compared to 42.7% male. This trend however was reversed in the Phlebotomy service were 8.5% of patients were male, compared to 8.3% female. Marital Status Again marital status is poorly populated with only 4.6% of patients providing this information. The Phlebotomy service provided the lowest level of compliance, with only 2.8% of patients entering their marital status. Ethnicity Within Targeted Services this field was 76.3% populated. Therefore, 23.7% of patients did not provide their ethnicity. Ethnicity is a category that is part of the CHS minimum data set and therefore this field should be close to 100% populated. Of the 11,159 patients (76.3%) that completed this field 11,046 (75.5%) categorised themselves as White; English / Welsh / Scottish / Northern Irish / British. Religion Only 11.2% of patients provided their religious status (1,643 patients). Out of the 11.2% that did provide us with this information, 10.42% categorised themselves as Christian. CHS – Childrens This report is based on data between 01/04/2013 and 31/12/2013. Census Age Group As expected in CHS – Childrens, 74.0% of patients are aged under 15. The highest individual category is aged 0-4 (30.0%) which equates to 10,327 patients. Gender This field was 99.9% populated (34,390 patients) with only 0.1% of patients failing to provide this information. Overall 53.9% of patients were female, compared to 46.0% male. Marital Status Only 3.0% of patients completed this field (1045 patients) 33,375 (97%) of patients did not complete this field. Ethnicity Within Childrens Services this field was 70.5% populated. Therefore, 29.5% of patients did not provide their ethnicity. Ethnicity is a category that is part of the CHS minimum data set and therefore this field should be close to 100% populated. Of the 70.5% that completed this field, 67.1% (23089 patients) categorised themselves as White; English / Welsh / Scottish / Northern Irish / British. The service with the lowest level of compliance for this field was the Child – School Health service with only 48.8% of patients completing this field. The service with the highest level of compliance for this field was the Child – Health Visiting service with 92.0% of patients completing this field. Religion Only 1.8% of patients completed this field (604 out of 34,420 patients). Therefore, 98.2% did not provide this information.
