SUMMER 2015 NEWSLETTER From “The Lunar Tao” by Deng, Ming Dao Summer Newsletter 2015 p. 2 QIGONG CLASSES DRAGON AND TIGER MEDICAL QIGONG 1 A new class in this basic, very effective qigong will begin Saturdays, July 12th at 8:30 a.m. Everyone who has taken this class has found it helpful in a short time. However it does take three sessions to complete learning the postures. This practice effectively releases stagnant qi while increasing the speed, strength and evenness of the circulation of qi, blood and other fluids, and raises the energy levels of the body to boost your immune system and it’s natural healing capacities. TAOIST MEDITATION AND NEIGONG 3 This section of Taoist Meditation continues on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. with it’s 3rd session. TAOIST MONASTIC BAGUA CIRCLE WALKING FOR MEDITATION 3 and 11 We continue our exploration into this traditional practice at 10:00 on Saturdays. CLASSICS CLASS “T’ai Chi Ch’uan Jing” (Taijiquan Classic) by Wang, Zhong Yue This class will meet on Thursday mornings at 11:15 a.m. This is the first time in quite a while that a Classics Class has been offered on a daytime schedule so take advantage of this. UPCOMING WORKSHOPS SAN SHOU INTENSIVE – Unfortunately we have had to cancel this workshop due to not enough people able to attend. RICK BARRETT will be returning this Fall so watch for more information on that workshop. Rick continues to develop his wise and insightful ways to Be in the world and play push hands. WORLD TAI CHI DAY World T’ai Chi and Qigong Day was really great this year. No rain helped a lot. Wonderful demonstrations and workshops from all the teachers and Masters present. Put it on your next year calendar now. Don’t miss it! I was surprised by a special presentation to me from all the Masters and teachers “In honor of my 80th year and in appreciation for my Generous Contributions.” I was very moved.
