MONDAY - Walking for Health
Every Monday at 1:45pm meeting at Canal Basin, Coach Street
3 different ability walking groups to choose from, including short walks suitable for patients returning from
illness or have limited mobility.
TUESDAY – Gentle Yoga
10-11am meeting at Gargrave Village Hall. 4 week course staring on 6th October. Dru Yoga is great exercise

TUESDAY – Creative Writing
11:30-12:30 meeting at Gargrave Village Hall. 4 week course starting on 6th October. Writing is great for your

TUESDAY -Singing for the brain
2-3:30pm meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the Month, at Skipton’s Baptist Church (£2 donation). This
Group supports patients with either Dementia or Parkinson’s disease. Call Alzheimer’s Society Harrogate

TUESDAY – Just Sing!
2- 3:30pm meeting at the Skipton Baptist church, every two weeks from September 15th. £3 each session.

WEDNESDAY - Site Specific Cancer Peer Support Talks
Held monthly on Wednesday 2-4pm, at Dyneley Barn, Newmarket Street
For patients who are either undergoing treatment or who have finished their treatment for Cancer, and want to meet with
others to share their experience. To book a place, call 01756 799311

WEDNESDAY - Fisher Medical Centre Social Group
Held fortnightly on Wednesdays 2-4pm at Fisher Medical Centre, Coach Street.
Crafts activities and Scrabble popular with this group. Anyone welcome to come for a brew and a chat. Next dates

WEDNESDAY – Eat Well for Life Course * NEW
5 week course, 9:30-11:30am, Fisher Medical Centre, Coach Street. Dates include 23 rd, 30th September, 7th, 14th and 21st
October. Fascinating course on food & nutrition to help patients make wise choices when out shopping. Booking is
essential.
WEDNESDAY – Book Club * NEW
Held fortnightly, on Wednesdays 2-4pm at Fisher Medical Centre, Coach Street. This an open loan book group,
discussing and circulating multiple books. Reading is good for mental stimulation, stress reduction and memory

THURSDAY - Wellbeing Café
1-4pm meeting every Thursday at Dyneley Barn, Newmarket Street
New social group with lots of activities and food on offer.
FRIDAY- Making Art Sessions for Dementia Patients
Every Friday, 2-4pm at Dyneley Barn. £5 per session
