Dear Peter,
How are you? I haven’t seen you for a long time! How’s life in America. I want to tell you about
my life here at Abu Dhabi Men’s College.
I am studying Math, English, Construction Engineering and Computer Studies; my teachers are
very nice, especially Mr. Tom. He teaches us English, this is my favorite subject. There is a
noisy boy in our class, he’s always speaking Arabic and joking, so Mr. Tom puts his PDA down.
Mr. Percy, our Engineering is very lazy; he only sets us tests in class or tells us to go on the
internet and do online exercises there.
Mr. Mike teaches us Math. He is always joking with us; we like him very much, but we don’t get
much work done!
I’ve got two friends, Saeed and Ibrahim. They are in my class, Saeed wants to be a civil
engineer and Ibrahim wants to work in his father’s company. In our free time we go sailing and
smoke shisha in the evening.
In the summer I’m planning to come to the States to see you. Would this be OK? Write and let
me know?
At the moment I’m taking my final exams, I have to study hard, but it will soon be over, thank

important places. In the Abu Dhabi shops, Malls and big sea. You can go in Abu Dhabi by car or plan. I think
the Abu Dhabi is less expinsive than Dubai.
I like living in Aba Dhubai because me friends in Abu Dhabi very beautiful. In the Abu Dhabi the wather very
nice.

Abu Dhabi. Dubai is the biggest city in the U.A.E. I love this city because it is a fantastic city and it is very
modern and fast. Many people come from other countries to visit Dubai and now it is very famous. Dubai has
many museums and malls and it has good streets but the streets are very crowded every day. Many people
go to Dubai. Businessmen go to Dubai because in Dubai there are shops and companies.
Abu Dhabi’s a beautiful city. It’s the most interesting city in the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi is located in
the north east of the U.A.E. Abu Dhabi has many important places. In Abu Dhabi there are shops, malls and
the sea nearby. You can go to Abu Dhabi by car or plane. I think Abu Dhabi is less expensive than Dubai. I
advise you to come to Abu Dhabi because it is a very beautiful city.

Thanks for your last letter. It was really interesting. Today, I’m going to
tell you about a typical weekend in Abu Dhabi.
The weekend really starts after we finish work on Wednesday afternoon.
We always take the kids out to the club so they can go for a swim. We
usually stay in on Wednesday nights and after we put the children to
bed, we watch a video. We don’t go out because we are too tired.
On Thursday morning, we get up early with the kids and go to the club
again. Although we go to the club a lot, the kids never get bored with
swimming and playing in the sand. We often go camping in the desert
which the children love. Camping is great fun because you can forget at
your problems. Have you been camping? If we stay in Abu Dhabi, we
usually go out for a meal or go to the cinema in the evening.
On Friday, we usually don’t do anything special. We have a quiet time at
home, sometimes have a BBQ and invite some people round for the
afternoon.
