SPOKEN THANKSGIVINGS
OPENING PRAYER (In Unison)
Most holy Lord, we come to your table hungry for hope and
healing. Come to us through this bread and wine. Strengthen us in body,
mind and spirit to do your will in the world. As we gather at your table,
make us, who are many, one with you. Draw our hearts and minds into
such communion with you and with one another that we may be living signs
of your love in the world. Through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who
lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Amen.
SILENT PRAYER
ORGAN MEDITATION
WORDS OF ASSURANCE
Leader: God is everywhere. We are always in the presence of God. In our drive to
work or walks in the woods, God is with us. In a simple conversation or quiet
rest, God is there. In new schemes and old daydreams, God’s presence is with
us. When we gather to eat or stand to sing. God is everywhere. We are always
in the presence of God. Amen
PASTORAL PRAYER
RESPONSE AFTER EACH PRAYER CONCERN:
Leader: Lord, in Your mercy,
People: Hear our prayer!
THE LORD’S PRAYER (In Unison)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass
against us; And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*OFFERING PRAYER (In Unison)
Loving God we come to you in thanksgiving, knowing that all we are and all we
have is a gift from you. In faith and love, help us to do your will. We are listening,
Lord God. Speak your words into the depths of our souls, that we may hear you
clearly. We offer to you this day all the facets of our lives, whether it be at home,
at work, or at school – to be patient, to be merciful, to be generous, to be holy.
Give us the wisdom and insight to understand your will for us and the fervor to
carry out our good intentions. We offer our gifts of time, talent and possessions to
you as a true act of faith, to reflect our love for you and our neighbor. Help us to
reach out to others as you our God have reached out to us. Amen.

RESPONSE TO THE WORD
*APOSTLES' CREED (In Unison)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus
Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the
third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right
hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick
and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the
communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.
* GLORIA PATRI
Glory Be to the Father
No. 70
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

THE INVITATION TO THE SACRAMENT
Pastor: Christ our Lord invites to our table all who love Him, who earnestly repent
of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another. Therefore, let us
confess our sin before God and one another.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND PARDON
All:
(In Unison)
Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole
heart. We have failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your
will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love, we
have not loved our neighbors, and we have not heard the cry of the
needy. Forgive us, we pray. Free us for joyful obedience, through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.
Pastor: Hear the Good News: Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that
proves God’s love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
People: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
All:
Glory to God. Amen.
THE GREAT THANKSGIVING
Pastor: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Pastor: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them up to the Lord.
Pastor: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Pastor: And so, with your people on earth
and all the company of heaven
we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
(Congregation will sing, Here I Am to Worship)
1. Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness,
Opened my eyes, let me see.
Beauty that made this heart adore You;
Hope of a life spent with You.
CHORUS:
So here I am to worship,
Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You’re my God.
You’re altogether lovely, altogether worthy,
Altogether wonderful to me.
2. King of all days, oh so highly exalted,
Glorious in heaven above.
Humbly, You came to the earth You created.
All for love’s sake became poor.
Pastor: And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ.
We offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living
Sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the
mystery of faith.
All:
Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again. Amen.
THE PRAYER OF CONSECRATION
Pastor: On the night in which Jesus was betrayed, He took bread blessed it
and broke it, and gave it to His disciples and said, “This is my body
which is broken for you, as often as you eat of it, do this in
remembrance of me.” After supper, He took the cup and blessed it and
gave it to His disciples and said, “This is the cup of the new covenant
poured out for you and many for the forgiveness of sins, as often as
you drink of it, do this in remembrance of me.”
