Manchester based storytellers PROSE announce the release of their debut EP ‘What If?’ on
October 16th, 2015.
PROSE defy the very idea of genre definition. They take the best of what has come before
them in their city of Manchester and have created an exceptional four-track EP of infectious
and inventive hookworms indebted to their hometown.
The first track to debut from the EP, ‘Run With Faith’, is a modern-day parable of a down-on-his-luck
bluesman who gets saved by the simplest of lessons - that kindness and honesty pay off. Inspired by a
true story of a homeless man from Manchester who returned a wallet without pocketing the cash, the
story led to coverage in the local press which sparked a pay-it-forward campaign that got the man off
the streets. The grit-and-optimism moral of the story plays right into the beating heart of PROSE’s
prose.
