Welcome once again to Christmas at the Vineyard!
Wine is an important part of this festive season, so whether you need some for parties, gifts, or stress relief at the end of
a busy day, please remember to shop local, shop at your friend’s vineyard – Alton Farms Estate Winery in Lambton
County.
Giftware: Come on in, take a few minutes to relax and taste some of your favourite wines. While you are here, browse
our large selection of Wine related Christmas items – gift baskets, corkscrews, wine accessories, Riedel glassware and
decanters, local artwork, local glassware, clothing and much more.
We even have the Riedel 5 glass “Key to Wine” sets in stock – these wine glasses are each etched with the names of the
wine best presented in the glass.
Tastings get together?: How about a small gathering of your friends to do some wine tasting? Bring a cheese or
appetizer platter and make it an event. As you know, our tasting bar is a cozy spot to meet, so come out with your
friends, test our wines and see how well they pair with the holiday foods, cheeses, meats, or chocolate of your choosing.
Events for December: We will once again be offering mulled wine for the month of December, a cozy fire on weekends,
and maybe skating on our pond, if the cold weather cooperates.
As we did last year we will be collecting tasting donations for a good cause – they will be going to the Eliminate Project
(a UNICEF and Kiwanis joint venture) to eliminate infant and maternal tetanus.

Gift Baskets: Looking for corporate gift baskets? – we can make baskets for many budgets, with or without wine of
course.
Case Special: Still looking for a fresh Christmas tree? Buy a case of wine (12 bottles) and take home a Christmas tree as
a thank you gift from us. We have many sizes and shapes to choose from - all are natural (untrimmed) shapes with lots
of branches for ornaments. Bring your family, borrow a saw and cut your own tree from our Christmas tree area
(weather permitting), then warm up with a tasting of mulled wine. If you want to be environmentally friendly with your
tree instead, bring a shovel, a large pot and dig up your tree for replanting after Christmas.
As a reminder our Winter hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12-6, or by chance or appointment.
We hope to see you, but if you can’t make it out, please call and see if we can deliver (or ship) any items.
All the best during this Holiday Season.
