All-Party Parliamentary Group on Alcohol Harm CALL FOR EVIDENCE All-Party Parliamentary Group on Alcohol Harm Inquiry: ‘Impact of Alcohol on the Emergency Services’ The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Alcohol Harm has launched a new Inquiry into the ‘Impact of Alcohol on the Emergency Services.’ The cross party APPG has chosen this theme as it believes it is vital to better understand the amount of time and resources that alcohol-related issues place on these essential services. The Inquiry will focus on the volume of alcohol-related issues emergency services respond to and will consider how alcohol affects the job delivery of front line emergency workers. The Inquiry will seek to make recommendations across policy and service boundaries to tackle these issues. Terms of Reference The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Alcohol Harm will conduct an Inquiry and produce a report into the impact of alcohol-related issues on the emergency services. The APPG will take written evidence submissions and oral evidence submissions by invitation. A report will then be produced that collates the submissions and makes certain recommendations. About the APPG The APPG on Alcohol Harm exists to promote discussion of alcohol-related issues, raise issues of concern and make recommendations to Government and other policy makers. Alcohol Concern provides the Secretariat to the Group with funding from the pharmaceutical company Lundbeck Ltd.
