The Avro Arrow has been deemed the “National Dream”, a symbol of Canadian innovation and
ambition that was the most powerful and sophisticated fighter aircraft of its day.
The presentation by Prof. Saravanamuttoo examines the short and long term impacts of the
cancellation of the Avro Arrow on the Canadian aerospace industry, while putting the program in
historical context.
