DIVISION OF HUMANITIES Debate Colleagues: You are cordially invited to the 2nd Annual Southeast Regionals Parliamentary Debate Tournament scheduled for Friday February 28th and Saturday March 1st, 2013 at Walters State Community College. We are going to have 6 rounds of preliminary debate and the appropriate out rounds allowed by the entry. We hope to see you there for good debate, good food, and great big trophies at the end. We will be catering in food for Dinner Friday, continental Breakfast Saturday, and Lunch Saturday to help keep the tournament running smoothly and efficiently due to the large amount of congestion around our campus caused by construction. We are embedding the price of food for each team in the cost of entry to help make the entry process easier for each team as there are many schools and many different forms of paying for students meals while at tournaments. Should there be any special dietary restrictions please make a note of it during your entry and we will do our best to accommodate your team in a hospitable and courteous manner. We do ask that you email us the total number of teams and preliminary numbers of people that you plan to bring a week in advance. We need total numbers for food purposes. As we plan to bracket teams 48 hours before the tournament, we ask that you not change the number of teams entered. If possible, have alternates in case a team member is unable to attend. These, and other, students, parents and faculty are welcome to attend and observe. Deadlines and fees are as follows. Entry deadline: 9:00 P.M. February 24th Parli: $65.00/ team plus additional $60.00 for any uncovered team(s) Drops: February 26th -- $35.00 February 27th--$ 55.00 February 28th $ 75.00 Cash is preferable. Please send this to any new or budding programs that you know. We hope that you and your teams can make it.
