The Role of Assistant Director
You will gain broad business experience, learning to promote, market and sell a new concept in education; how
to operate a business unit, and be responsible for the recruitment and development of a team of tutors as part of
the Management team. We also hope you will embrace the opportunity to progress to Center Director within 1824 months where you will directly supervise staff and have overall responsibility for the Center’s development,
operations and profitability.
The role of Assistant Director is varied, challenging and very rewarding; offering you the chance to gain broad
business experience, while working in a fun environment directly with children in an effort to benefit their
education. Starting as an Assistant Director you will be in a team of three, either launching a new center or
running an established center. The key to the success of each center is down to the three managers: the Center
Director and two Assistant Directors. The full time teams are graduates, all sharing a passion for education and
the desire to help children reach their full potential.

Assistant Directors need to be willing to take on the responsibility to drive forward the growth and development of
our learning centers using their promotional and managerial strengths.

education. Launched in 2001, Explore now has over 110 tutoring and enrichment centers in operation and has
benefitted over 150,000 children across the UK. Explore Horizons is now launching its service in the US, starting
