March 3-4, 2016
Cobb Galleria Center, Atlanta, Georgia
CALL FOR POSTER SESSIONS
The Georgia Organization of School-Based Speech-Language Pathologists invite
you to submit a proposal for a Poster presentation at the Best Practices in Public
School Speech-Language Pathology Conference. The poster sessions will be held
on March 3rd, 2016, from 1:00 – 3:30 PM.
The Poster Sessions will have two focus areas: 1. Presentations which provide
strategies for therapy for school-age children using an evidence-based foundation
and 2. Presentations which provide research on therapy and/or assessment
procedures for school-age children. Practicing SLPs in the schools as well as
university professors and students are encouraged to submit a proposal.
Therapy topics with an evidence-based foundation: Abstracts should describe
the strategy, research supporting it, the setting in which it was used, the
characteristics of the target students, how the strategy was evaluated and any
unique findings/characteristics of the strategy.
Research on therapy/assessment for school-age children: Abstracts should
describe the author’s research methodology (i.e. design, subject characteristics,
and statistical analysis), the major findings, and the conclusions.
