Director of Engineering and Design Innovation
UV Pure Technologies, the global technology leader in UV water disinfection technology
has an immediate opening for this new leadership role. As Director of Engineering and
Design Innovation you will lead a suite of resources including our outside engineering
and design firm, our technical advisory group of customers, key vendors and other
resources like MaRS, SOWC, IRAP, and coordinate with our inside team of experts to
manage the design, engineering, and validation of our next generation of products.
UV Pure’s mission is Pure Safe Water. Always…and our vision is that our systems will
treat a billion litres of water per minute, globally, within 15 years. No resource is more
important than clean water, and our technology today, together with the innovations you
will help bring to that technology for the next generation of products will set new global
standards of UV disinfection performance.

role will leverage our 13 years of commercial experience and installed base of over
15,000 applications to help take our business to the next level!
In this position you will become fully fluent with and intelligent about our market, and our
competitive technology landscape. Together with your senior management colleagues
at UV Pure, and outside resources, you will perfect the project plan, including target
outcomes, milestones, timeframes and capital budgets, and manage the project to
achieve them. You will report to our Vice President Finance and Operations with a
“dotted line” to the President and CEO, and you will be a member of the Leadership
Committee.
The successful candidate will have five to seven years of progressive experience in
product engineering, technical product management, and/or technical innovation with an
excellent track record of performance. Ideally this experience will have been in the
water treatment industry or environmental technology space. You would also have
project management experience including a history of achieving project goals on time
and on budget. An understanding of intellectual property will be an advantage.
You will also have excellent communications skills in English, computer skills including
CAD, and related university degree(s) and designation(s).
