Every visit of San Francisco should start at Pier 39: with its carousel, restaurants
and carnival-like attractions, the Pier draws thousands of visitors daily.
Another reason to visit is of course to see the city's favourite mascots, the sea
lions who took over the waterfront in 1989.

Pick up from hostel and travel to NASA Ames Visitor Centre before heading to Monterey.
Visit NASA Ames Visitor Centre
NASA's Ames Research Centre is a key facility for many of NASA's missions and
projects. Among the displays, you'll be able to see a moon rock, a part of the lunar samples
returned by the Apollo 15 mission in 1971, and a model of the SOFIA aircraft.
After the visit, depart for Monterey.

Visit Monterey
