Study List for all subjects Junior 5 Parents are to note the following lists for study for the upcoming assessment exams (6th Feb to the 12th Feb 2015). Parents are encouraged to start the revision with their children following the lists hereunder. Students will be assessed in Maths (1 written paper of 1 ½ hours), English (2 written papers of 1 ½ hours and a Listening Comprehension as part of Paper 1), Maltese (2 written papers of 1 ½ hours and a Listening Comprehension as part of Paper 1) and Science (1 written paper of 1 ½ hours). Writing To look at tasks covered during Term 1 and the first few weeks of Term 2. Attention should also be given to the “preparation” lessons the students have had. For example, they should be able to use some of the similes learnt in their writing. Students will be given a plan as they are normally given and they are to fill it in as part of their Writing task. Time to be allotted to the Writing Task is 1hr. Comprehension The Comprehension task will be based on the comprehensions worked in class and at home and will also be closely based on the upcoming Comprehension test. There will be an element of Grammar as part of this task, as well as a Summary task. Spelling There will be no formal assessment when it comes to Dictation.
