CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. THE CHAMPIONSHIP:
The Championship will be played over 36 holes on the
North Course, 18 holes on Thursday 27 August and 18
holes on Friday 28 August, 2015
2. CLASSIC COMMITTEE:
A Classic Committee, appointed by Nudgee Golf Cub,
shall have sole management and control of the event.
The Classic Committee reserves the right to:
(a) fix and/or alter starting times.
(b) in the event of bad weather, or for any other
reason, either shorten the contest or fix another
date/venue,
(c) vary any condition should they deem it advisable,
(d) reject any entry without assigning any reason
therefore. The decision of the Classic Committee
will be final in all matters and in the absence of a
full Committee, such members as may be present
at the time may give a decision, and any such
decision shall be deemed to be a decision of the
full Classic Committee.
3. ENTRIES:
3.1 The Classic is open to all Amateur golfers who
have attained the age of 50 years, as at 27 August
2015, with an Australian handicap and who are
members of a golf club affiliated through their
District Golf Association with Golf Queensland, or
other State/National Associations.
3.2 The field will be limited to 100 players – should
entries be received in excess of this number the
higher handicap players will be balloted out and
their entry fee refunded.
3.3 Entries must be received by the General Manager,
Nudgee Golf Club, 1207 Nudgee Road, Nudgee
Qld 4014 by 5.00pm on Monday 24 August 2015.

3.4 The prescribed Nomination Fee of $65.00 ($30.00
for Nudgee members) must accompany the
nomination form at the time of nomination.

3.5 Entries may be submitted online via Golf
Queensland booking system up until 4:00pm

3.6 Do not send cash in the mail – N.G.C. will not
accept responsibility for cash sent that is not
received.
3.7 Once the draw is completed there will be no refund
of entry fees to players who withdraw from the
event.
4. RULES:
The Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal And
Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews will apply, together
with such Local Rules as are approved by the Classic
Committee.
5. PROTESTS:
Protests must be lodged in writing with the Classic
Committee no later than 5 minutes after the
Conclusion of the player’s round on each day.
6. TIES:
In the event of a tie or ties for the Classic, unless the
Classic Committee determines otherwise, play shall
continue over such holes as the Classic Committee
shall decide, players being eliminated hole by hole as
they fail to maintain equality with other or others
until the winner is determined. All other ties will be
decided by the Australian Countback System.
7. PACE OF PLAY:
Rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced. Each group must
maintain its position on the course with respect to the
group preceding it. Any group with a clear hole in
front of will be considered out of position. Penalties
will be issued to individuals in such groups who, by
their pace, contribute to such delay. Warnings may
not be issued prior to penalties.
8. DRAW AND STARTING TIMES:
A draw for each day’s play will be published on
Nudgee Golf Club noticeboard, website and e-mailed
to those who have provided an address on
Wednesday 26 August. Players shall start at the time
and in the order arranged by the Committee. Rule 6-3a
provides “The player shall start at the time laid down
by the Committee”. The penalty for breach of Rule 63a is disqualification. However, in the absence of
circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of
disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7,if the player
arrives at his starting point, ready to play within five
minutes of his starting time, the penalty for failure to
start on time is two strokes at the first hole, instead of
disqualification.
9. BALL:
It will be obligatory for all competitors to play with a ball
which is named in the current list of Conforming Golf
Balls issues by the R&A. PENALTY FOR BREACH
OF CONDITION: Disqualification.
10. USE OF MOTORISED BUGGIES:
Players may use motorised buggies subject to the
course condition. If the committee deem the course
too wet for motorised buggies, the event will still be
played unless the course is unplayable.
11. DRESS REGULATIONS:
It is a requirement of this tournament that all players
must comply with the dress regulations of the host
club.
12. TROPHIES:
Trophies will be awarded to the men’s and ladies
winners of the Nudgee Masters Classic (gross), the
Nudgee Classic Senior Champions (50-59 years)
gross and nett, the Nudgee Classic Veteran
Champions (60+ years) gross and nett. Daily trophies
for gross, nett and gross runner-ups will be awarded
as well as NTP’s. Trophies will be limited to one gross
and one nett trophy per person.
13. PRACTICE:
Practice at Nudgee Golf Club will only be available by
arrangement. Telephone the pro shop on 3267 5885.
Green fee rate will be charged at $30 per player.
14. PRIVACY:
Nudgee Golf Club Inc. may retain the personal details
(ie. name, address, handicap) of entrants in this
Classic on its records. The purpose of doing so is such
that information on future events conducted by Nudgee
Golf Club Inc. can be forwarded as deemed
appropriate by the Club. This information will not be
available to any other organisation. Any person may
have their details removed from this database by
