Help Wanted…….
Willy Gilly Ball – Yey! We have a team of parents who have
offered to organise a ball for us this year. We’re not going to give
away the theme or venue just yet. They have asked if we could put
out a request to parents/friends for items we could raffle and
auction. In the past, auction lots have included holiday apartments
for a weekend, football memorabilia, children’s party venues,
golfing days, spa days, handy man for the day, and decorator for
the day etc. Raffle prizes have included hampers, hairdressing
vouchers, theme park tickets, meals for 2 etc.
If you feel you could assist in this or know somebody who would

Carnival Float – Robert Fowkes, a dad from the reception year
group, has offered his services this year to help put together a
float for our school for carnival day (27th June). He would like
some help with this as he is a new parent to the school so doesn’t
have a great deal of knowledge about how it works. If you feel
you could help Robert out, please contact the PTA via the contact
details below.
Sports Spectacular – Sally Whittingham, a Meadows parent, has
stepped down from the organisation of this event which happens
every year during carnival week. She has run this event for many years
and it has always been a well-attended and much-enjoyed
afternoon/evening. This year it will be on Wednesday 24th June. If
anyone, or any group of parents, would be willing to take on the
organisation of this event please contact the PTA.
Notice Boards – Finally, the school has been looking into purchasing
notice boards for outside the infant and junior gates. These are proving to
be very expensive. We had a suggestion that somebody may have the skills
and materials to make these for us much cheaper If anyone could do this,
or knows of anyone who could, please contact the PTA via the details
below.

Upcoming Events
Well…it’s been a while but finally
we’ve managed to get a newsletter
out to you. There is lots to tell you
about and I hope you will enjoy
reading what we have been up to.
There are also a few items which we
need some help with so if you, or
somebody you know, is able to lend a
hand that would be great.
23rd March – Easter egg competition
Don’t forget to send in your entries for the
competition. And parents, this year you can
really get involved with the adults’ category. So
get creating!
25th March – Reception Cake Sale
This event is for reception parents in Mrs
Williamson’s cafe in the morning. Cakes will
also be available for nursery parents to buy
from 11.15 – 11.45
26th March – Easter Service
Sainsbury’s Vouchers
The service starts at 2pm at St Alkmund’s
Church and is always a lovely event. And don’t
forget the 27th is an inset day so the children
break up after the service.
We just wanted to share with you a picture
of the items the school was able to receive
free of charge for the Sainsbury’s vouchers
we collected.

Potato peelers, secateurs, plant pots, cups,
magnifying glasses, table top hob
