Brian Talbert briefly stated the election procedures for all members present voting on the 2011
Board of Directors.

The Friends were approved to have a display board at Fall Creek Falls Inn. Deborah Anziano and

assembled. All members agreed they were doing a great job and to proceed with the project.

planning stage, possibly for spring of 2011) Possible Scholarship, name recognition in local
papers w/ picture of them holding design. Localize Friends art work to surrounding counties
through school contest. Ann McCormick and Carla Neely will work with Mr. Earl Delong head

Volunteer Workdays & Projects: A motion was made by Kate Dornbusch, seconded by
Nancy Weintraub to have a list of potential projects for workdays so that anyone interested in
helping could find a project suitable for that individual.
Member Gifts/Volunteer Hours: Deborah Anziano gave us feedback from potential
Friends members; they think a sticker would be a great incentive to get more members to join. A
motion was made by Ann McCormick, seconded by Dave Dornbusch to give recognition to
member of the Friends organization with T’s, free membership through volunteer hours and
more. The new 2011 executive board will go more in-depth about the requirements for each of
these gifts during the January meeting, which will be posted to the website once all the details
have been discussed.
Volunteers/Santa’s Helpers: The Friends would like to give a special Thank You to Chris
Johnson, Marci Quinn & Carol Frankowski for all their hard work on the toys for Santa. Not
only did they save the Friends money, they did a fantastic job and we were overwhelmed with
compliments on how everyone enjoyed the toys they made. A special Thank You to all the
Volunteers we had helping with Christmas on the Mountain this year, Amanda Bates, Deborah
Anziano and Lydia Harris you did a wonderful job on the crafts, Lisa Bayless & Mrs. Dot for
spreading their Christmas magic for the children with their dazzling decorations in the suite.
Junior Ford, Chris Johnson, Jim Frankowski and so many more that helped setup and be ready
for this show to begin. So many complimented on how smoothly is went and we couldn’t have
accomplished so much without each and every one of you. Thank You!
 New Business:

build a woodshed, help restore the fire tower so it is no longer a liability issue, purchase a truck
for backcountry trial maintenance and land. Stuart gave a brief description of treatments used on
the Hemlocks for the Friends members interested in trying to save their own trees from the
Hemlock Woolly Adelgid.
