“Bids for Kids” is Sacred Hearts School’s 17th annual Benefit Auction
supporting many capital improvements, classroom programs, and
technology in our school. It is our largest and most important fundraiser
of the year!
This year’s auction is on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. until
midnight. With lots of changes to the event, you are not going to want to
miss it! The auction will be held at Sacred Hearts School. An appetizer buffet will be catered
locally by Buck ‘n Honey’s, along with some fun sing-a-long karaoke by our own Mrs.
Jorgenson, parent John Schneider, and some special guests! There will be our traditional Silent
and Live auctions, coveted Classroom Projects, and much more! This is a casual, social event for
parents and community members. Proceeds benefit each and every SHS student. There’s no
reason NOT to attend!!
On page 2 of this flier, there is a Family Donation Form. The easiest way to donate is our new
online donor page at www.biddingforgood.com/shsbids. Please consider the many ways you can
contribute to make this year the most successful event ever! Whether you can donate a gift card
or help sponsor this year’s tuition raffle, there are many options to give.
IMPORTANT! Note that this year we have received a very generous offer from a donor who
will double your donation with a MATCHING GIFT FUND up to $10,000! Whether you
wish to sponsor one of our costs or give a cash donation, your monetary gift will be doubled by
this donor. Here are “Three Ways to Make Your Match:”
1. Any cash donation from a parent, grandparent, parishioner, or any friend of SHS will
double your donation!
2. ROUND UP any donation given to the Classroom Basket Fund. For example, we ask a
$5 donation per child to help sponsor your child(ren)’s Classroom Basket (see separate
flier in the Family Envelope). If you round up to $10, $20, or more that will be doubled!
3. Since ticket prices have gone down to $40 each, when you register for the auction you
will be given the option to add a donation to your ticket price, and those dollars are
doubled!

Other ways you can contribute to the success of our auction?
- Donate an item or gift card, professional service, private tutoring or lesson, talent or
hobby. In the past we have had parents donate private swim and music lessons, handmade
quilts, a cheesecake a month for 6 months, CPA services, lawn care services, carpentry
services, host a wine tasting, make birthday and graduation cakes, and more!
- Grandparents love to help out their grandchildren’s Catholic school! Whether it be an
item or cash donation (which will be doubled), or even an invitation to attend, they would
love to be asked! We have many grandparents, aunts & uncles who attend and/or donate.
- Contribute $5 toward your child’s classroom basket. This year’s themes are awesome!
