Dear Parent or Guardian,
I am writing to you about an opportunity for your son or daughter to see the three stages of next year’s Tour de France in Yorkshire and Essex/East of England. This may well be the last time the Tour comes to England/ UK for some time, and is an unmissable opportunity to witness at first hand a truly amazing sporting event. We are planning a trip with NST to
Yorkshire to stay in a hotel near Wakefield, (to view the hotel please click on the following link: http://www.campanile-wakefield.co.uk/en/index.aspx
) and view the three stages of the tour. We will be leaving school on Friday 4 th July 2014 to travel by executive coach to
Wakefield in Yorkshire. We will stay overnight at the hotel on a half-board basis with the first meal being dinner on Friday 4 th July. We will return to school on Monday 7 th July after watching the final UK stage from Cambridge to London.

The purpose of the trip is to watch three stages of the Tour de France to witness at first hand both the spectacle of this global sporting event, as well as get a flavour of the cultural significance of the race.
 The provisional cost is £240.00 per pupil

NST 24hr emergency contact service whilst on tour

The adults accompanying the group will be to a ratio of 1:10 and will include Mr Torrie and Miss Fryer

The itinerary for the trip will include: 3 days watching stages of the Tour and related activities.
The group size is 40 maximum and places will be secured on first come first served basis.
In addition to the tour cost, we recommend that your child has £30.00 spending money for the trip. They will also require lunch on each day for which you should budget an additional amount of £8.00-£10.00 per day.
To secure a place for your son, daughter or ward on this trip, a non-refundable deposit of
£30.00 is required, along with the completed permission slip by Friday 8 th November 2013. A

further payment of £80.00 by Friday 13 th December 2014 is required followed by a final payment of £130.00 by Friday 7 th February 2014. All payments should be made using wisepay.

Please be aware that once a place has been allocated, it will not be possible to refund the deposit or the full amount if, in exceptional circumstances, your son/daughter needed to withdraw from the trip at a later point.
