Minority Special Education Teacher Scholarship
Description & Eligibility
This $2,500 scholarship is made possible by the Graduate Studies office and the Department of
Special Education at Central Connecticut State University.
An individual is eligible for this Scholarship, if the individual:

is a minority student (males of any race/ethnicity are also encouraged to apply);
is a full-time student in Fall 2015;
intends to pursue a degree towards becoming a special educator; and
meets other minimum criteria established by the School of Graduate Studies.
Minimum criteria to receive state financial aid, including the Minority Teacher Scholarship,
include:

complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
student must be matriculated at CCSU;
a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, and
taking at least six hours per semester.
