Instructions for the INDULGE Auction
Thank you for your support of the GVSU Women’s Center fundraiser “Indulge In A Cause”.
Your attendance is making a difference in the quality of life for women in the Grand Valley
community and the surrounding area.
To make the most of your evening, we have provided instructions for the lottery auction
should you want to participate. We have 30 fabulous prize packages that include spa
packages, stylish jewelry, art and weekend getaways!
The lottery auction is set up so that participants buy chances to win auction prizes. As
chances are purchased, the participant places their name on auction cards. Chances of
winning increase for participants as more cards are purchased. At the end of the evening, an
auction card will be randomly drawn for each prize. If your name is on that card – you win!
(those selected need not be present to win)
Payments for all bids must be paid in full by cash, check or credit card prior to or on the
evening of the event. At the event, a check-out room will be set up near the entrance to
facilitate payment.
Bidding will close at 6:45pm and winners will begin to be announced at 7:15pm.
#1: On The Town: Grand Rapids
This package includes a one night stay at the luxurious Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. It also
includes 4 tickets to the Grand Rapids Griffins, Grand Rapids’ hometown hockey team. End
your experience with a delicious meal at Erb Thai in the vibrant East Hills neighborhood.

#2: For The Kid In You!
Either for the kids you know or the “kid in you,” this contains enough fun for 4! Spend an
exhilarating day exploring Aqua World at the nationally-renowned Chicago Shedds
Aquarium. Many new exhibits are being featured! Then onto inspiring and shaping the
imaginations of young people while infusing their minds with self-directed explorations at
the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. For even more excitement, this package includes 4
tickets to the Grand Rapids White Caps and a child being able to take the Ceremonial First
Pitch. The fun doesn’t end there; we’ve also included a 1 year membership to the John Ball
Park Zoo and a 1 month group membership to the YWCA.
