Competence Building Mission of India
Mining Engineers Association of India (MEAI) as part of Competence Building Mission with focus on Sustainable
Mining wish to develop requisite technical knowledge & managerial competence of all the professional working in
Mining based industry in different disciplines. It is in this direction that MEAI wish to organize they belong to in this
task with ultimate goal of Nation Building. It is hoped that the initiatives taken during the Mission will go a long
way in improving the image of the mining industry and increase the visibility of the mining Engineers Association of
India. The MEAI meets being contemplated annually or biennially are Subject to members volunteering to assist

MEAI Professional Meets shall be high impact meets spread over 1/2/3 days & especially customized for each
discipline. Meets will include eminent guest speakers , Case studies, debates, quiz competitions, panel discussion,
experience sharing, chapter wise competitions, Technical Papers, games, Exhibitions & involve industry thought
leaders, MEAI members & faculty drawn from the Industry and reputed Management & Engineering institutes.
Members associated with administration of the various laws applicable to mines in India and abroad will pay a key
role in sensitizing the participants of the recent changes in regulation, court cases and their implications. The
course will be conducted in a central location like Hyderabad or any popular destinations to ensure maximum
participation. The meets & Conferences on specialized subjects may also be conducted under MEAI banner with
the stewardship & support of Mining Organization/Institute of repute under a collaborative agreement with MEAI.
MEAI invites expression of interest by email/phone/post/phone addressed to the Secretary General from
individual members/student members/Institutional Members/Organizations/Mining Institutes who wish to
Volunteer discipline –wise as Directors, Coordinators, course Designers, quiz masters, Faculty members, Mangers,
Fund raisers, Web – content administrators, location-wise campaigners, committee members, Sponsors etc. Tech
savvy Members who can contribute from their residency via internet/Video-conferencing /
Skype/Facebook/Linkedin/twitter or in an advisory role are also welcome. All willing members who wish to
participate
can
expect
involvement
in
some
capacity.
MEAI being an association expects voluntary service for the cause during member’s spare time. However MEAI will
duly recognized the efforts by way of awards or Honorarium and reimbursement of towards transport and facilities
from the receipts obtained from sponsors and participants. Members who assist in recommending Right
Candidates from among members and non-members or give suggestions will also be suitably rewarded.
