MEET RULES
1. The meet will be held Under ASA Laws and Regulations and Technical Rules of Racing
2. All competitors must be registered with the ASA and be a current member of North Dorset Turbos
Swimming Club and this club is their home club.
3. Entries may be held on a computer solely for the purposes of this competition and consent, as
required by the Data Protection Act 1998, to the holding of personal information on computer will be
deemed to have been given by the submission of the entry. Personal Data will be available for
inspection during the Meet on application to the Promoters.
4. Age groups are based on ages at 31st December 2015
5. A competitor who has a joint membership with another club which is his/her home club may compete
but will not be placed..
6. Applications for entry must be correctly submitted by the specified date of 7th November 2015 for all
Events. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the promoter, but not to the detriment of
entries received on time. Entries received without payment will not be processed.
7. The promoter will limit the number of entries should the events be oversubscribed.
8. Age groups for all events: 9/10yrs, 11/12 yrs, 13/14 yrs and Open. 25m events are for the 9u group
who attend pre-turbos sessions only.
All events will be heat declared.
9. This event will NOT run with the use of entry cards
10. The heats will be seeded on entry times slowest to fastest.
11. The first three in each age group will receive an award. Awards will be presented at the awards
evening in January.
12. Competitors must report to the marshals, one event before their own event. Failure to do so may
mean exclusion from the event.
13. All starts will be at the deep end of the pool. All starts will be over the top, except backstroke races.
14. Warm up times will be confirmed after entries have closed. Start time for the first session each day
are as listed in program details. Diving is only permitted in sprint lanes. Warm up procedures will be
listed prior to the start of the meet.
15. The promoter reserves the right to refuse admission to any competitor or spectator.
16. Under ASA child protection laws all spectators wishing to use a devices capable of photography or
video recording must register at the recording table.
17. Anything not covered in the above rules and associated literature will be at the discretion of the
promoter.
19. The meet organisers will amend the rules where necessary to ensure the meet runs smoothly.
20. The promoter’s decision is final, subject to ASA Law.
Disabilities must be reported to the referee before the session of their event. A copy of their ASA
certificate of permanent disability must be produced if requested. Failure to comply could result in
disqualification from their events.
Closing date for entries is midnight on 7th November 2015 for all events. Failure to return entries may
result in swimmers being excluded from the event.
