For only a $5 registration fee and a minimum fund raising goal of $100, individuals can help bring independence to those who are blind or visually impaired. Major sponsors for the event include: “$2,500 Strike Sponsors” – Dr. Peter Smith and Guardian Trust; and “$1,000 Turkey Sponsor” – Ronald Tucker, O.D. “$500 Team Sponsors” include: Brown & Brown Insurance, Klar & Klar Architects, Inc., Optical Factory & Showroom, Michael W. Porter, P.A., and Southern Home Healthcare. Top 5 fund raisers so far are: Michael Porter, Lisa Pearson, Michelle Turman, Michelle Leo and Linda Phillips. Prizes will be awarded for the most funds raised, best bowlers and best bowling garb. It promises to be an enjoyable weekend for all, and an opportunity for families or friends to work together for a very important cause. Since 1956 the Lighthouse of Pinellas has been providing services that support independent living for blind and visually impaired individuals.
