Chaiken earned a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology from Syracuse University, a Master of Medical Science degree in both clinical audiology and education of the hearing impaired from Emory University, and a Doctor of Audiology degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University), where she was awarded the PCO Audiology Alumni Award for outstanding scholarship. Dr. Chaiken’s professional background includes serving as an educational audiologist, southeast regional manager for a hearing aid manufacturer, and founder of a private audiology practice which she owned and operated for over 12 years. Presently, she is a private practitioner in Atlanta, GA. and an Adjunct Instructor of Audiology at Salus University. In addition, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA). She has traveled in the United States and internationally to provide cerumen management training to audiologists, and was honored by the Audiology Foundation of America with their Professional Leadership Award for her work in this area.
