There is not a system in place to send out phone calls to notify you if a bus is running late. I know that it is a hard situation when it is cold outside and students are standing out waiting for buses. Be sure your children are dressed warm. Bad Weather and Cancellation of school or afterschool programs In the event of bad weather, there are a variety of ways you will be notified. • Tune in to local media – broadcast, print and online for information on school closures. • Check the district website at www.spps.org Families will also receive voicemail and text messages on their phones if the phone number listed in the school’s student information system is correct. This is one more reason why it is important to always provide us with your current phone numbers. If it starts to snow heavily during the day or if there is a winter storm warning, cancellation announcements of after-school activities, evening activities and field trips will be made by 1 p.m. Picture Retakes … scheduled for Wednesday, December 3rd Pictures packets from Picture Day on November 5th were sent home with students yesterday. If you want a retake done the entire packet must be sent back in. WAYS TO GET INFORMATION >>> Home-School-Connection folders on Thursdays Every Thursday your child should bring home a folder that will contain important information from your child’s teacher and the school.
