TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PELICAN PRIZE DRAW
1. The “Promoter”: Royal London, St Andrew House, 1 Thistle Street, Edinburgh EH2 1DG. ''The
Royal London Mutual Insurance Society is incorporated in England and Wales (company number
99064) and having its registered office at 55 Gracechurch Street, London, EC3V 0RL.
2. By entering this competition entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any
other requirement set out in the material relating to this promotion.
3. This competition is open only to independent financial advisers registered with the Financial
Conduct Authority who are resident in the UK and over the age of 18. Only one entry shall be
permitted per person.
4. Entrants must not be an employee or contractor of the Promoter or the Royal London Group or
be in any other way connected with this competition (including relatives of any such person).
5. Entry to the draw is free and may be made by completing the online form at
www.adviser.royallondon.com/personal-pensions/new-era-of-retirement-planning/survey
6. The draw shall open at 9.00 am on Wednesday 3rd December and shall close to new entries at
5pm on Friday 19th December 2014.
7. Statistical data collected from the entries submitted may be used in subsequent marketing
material by the Promoter but will only be used on an anonymous basis (for the avoidance of
doubt individual entrants or their company name will not be named, subject to clause 17).
8. By supplying their email address or addresses when entering the competition, entrants consent
to receiving such marketing material and information as may be sent by the Promoter from time
to time to such email address or addresses.
9. There shall be one winner and one prize of an ipad mini. The Promoter shall not be responsible
or liable for any costs beyond the initial purchase price of the prize.
10. The draw will take place at 12pm on Tuesday 30th December.
11. The first name drawn at random from the entries received shall be the winner of the prize. An
independent person will make the draw. The choice of the independent person shall be final. No
correspondence will be entered into. The full name of the independent person will be provided
upon written request.
12. In the event of unforeseen circumstances making the administration of the competition
impossible or impractical, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition. In the
event of such cancellation entrants shall be notified within 7 days of cancellation.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to vary the prize without prior notice to an alternative prize of
equal or greater value. No cash alternative shall be available.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms
and conditions.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award the prize to any entrant who at the time of
the draw is in debt to Royal London or, if the entrant is a financial adviser, whose employing
company, firm, or network to whom their firm belongs, is in debt to Royal London or any other
part of the Royal London Group.
16. The winner will be notified by email on or before 30th January 2015. The winner will receive the
prize within 21 days of such notification.
17. Acceptance of the prize will be deemed as permission by the entrant for the Promoter to
publicise the name of the winner on the Promoter’s website
18. The name of the winner of the draw will be available upon written request. Requests should be
submitted by email to RLIPensionsmarketing2@royallondon.com within 1 month of the date of
the prize draw.
19. Entrants agree that the Promoter may rely on such details as are provided by entrants when
entering the draw. The Promoter accepts no liability or responsibility for loss of any kind arising
out of or in connection with the submission of incorrect personal details by entrants to the draw.
20. Should a court or equivalent authority deem clause 19 to be unenforceable in whole or in part,
the aggregate liability of the Promoter shall under no circumstances exceed the cash value of the
prize.
21. The Promoter may use personal details submitted by entrants when entering the competition
for the purposes of administering the competition and by entering the competition entrants
consent to such use. Entrants’ personal data shall be treated in confidence, processed solely in
accordance with UK data protection legislation including, but not limited to, the Data Protection
Act 1998 and shall not be disclosed to third parties without the explicit consent of the entrants
concerned. The Promoter may disclose personal or other data relating to entrants of the
competition where permitted or required by law or statute, court or equivalent authority of
competent jurisdiction or regulation or where the entrant or entrants concerned have
consented.
