Incoming Freshmen that meet the PLC requirements (ACT 22 or above and a minimum 3.3 GPA) may apply for the PLC-V
scholarship. This scholarship includes a full tuition waiver and residence hall room waiver for four years for full-time PLC
students who maintain an overall 3.0 GPA. A one-semester credit course on leadership is required during the Fall 2014
semester.
PLC Students must meet the minimum following conditions/requirements to retain their PLC scholarship each semester.

NOTE: There will be a mandatory Summer Leadership Retreat scheduled during the week of July 28th or the week
of August 4th. Please note the dates when planning family vacations and work schedules. The exact dates will be
determined prior to the mailing of the award letters.
PLC-V applicants should complete the application form and attach a copy of their High School transcript and a copy of their
ACT score sheet. Applicants should also arrange for their High School counselor to complete the recommendation form (to
be sent directly to Dr. Hamby).
Completed forms (including transcript and ACT score sheet) must be received by March 1, 2014. Please mail completed

Admission to the Presidential Leadership Class (PLC) is one of East Central University’s top honors. The program is focused around leadership
development at the personal, organizational, and community levels. PLC scholars develop skills through weekly meetings, campus and
community service projects and lecture series.
East Central University accepts applicants who are skilled in the following areas: Intellectual curiosity, leadership potential, commitment outside
