Policy on Confidentiality
It is the policy of the Parent-To-Parent Program to maintain confidentiality regarding its
families. To that end, each staff member and program participant will be required to
subscribe to the following statement upon assuring the Supporting parent role.
Statement on Confidentiality
Protecting our family’s confidentiality is a legal and moral imperative. Confidentiality means
that at NO TIME is a family’s name or diagnosis mentioned outside the program unless that
family gives permission for their name to be given to other inquiring families or unless it is
necessary for the service being delivered to that individual or family.
Families Together, Inc. is committed to preserving the privacy and confidentiality of each
family. Staff and program participants will be held accountable for the protection of this
privacy. Violation of this right to confidentiality by any employee/program participant
constitutes grounds for termination of employment or involvement with the Parent-to-Parent
program.
