The 2015 Aylestone Winter League
Aylestone Equestrian is will be running a league throughout the five Dressage Competitions. Points will be awarded
according to placings in every class (1st –10pts, 2nd 8pts, 3rd 6pts, 4th 4pts, 5th 2pts 6th 1pt) The highest placed
combinations will be announced at the Final Competition in February. Fabulous Prizes for the winners and the top ten
combinations will each receive a rosette from our generous Sponsors Solitaire of Leire. Plus the Winner and Reserve will
each receive Fantastic Flower Sashes. You have to be in it to win it so get entering!

NPS Supreme Dressage Championship
This competition was introduced to encourage both performance and education of British bred ponies and their riders, and culminates in the NPS
Supreme Dressage Championship Final & Team Challenge to be held at the prestigious show venue Addington Manor Equestrian Centre,
Addington, Buckinghamshire in April 2016. Stabling will be available.
The Final will be run in accordance with the NPS Dressage Rules in 2015/2016 which will be available to all NPS Members.
Each test will consist of six sections all of which will have their own Final.
The two highest placed ponies in each section at each qualifying show will qualify for the 2016 Final and be eligible to be chosen to compete
for their Breed, NPS Area or other team in the Team Challenge which is to be incorporated into the 2016 Championship Final.
Sections are open to:1 Registered Mountain & Moorland breeds not exceeding 138cm
2 Registered Mountain & Moorland breeds exceeding 138cm
3 Registered British Riding Ponies
4 Part Bred Horses/Ponies registered with their appropriate Native Breed Part Bred Stud Book – including Part Bred Arab ponies over
stamped in the British Riding Pony Stud book and ponies registered with the British Sports Pony Stud Book . Please note Part bred Native
ponies and Sports ponies over stamped within the British Riding Pony & Stud Book may only compete in one section per season.
5 Highest placed Mini rider aged under 12 years on 1 st January 2014
6 Highest placed Junior rider under 18 years on 1 st January 2014
Horse/ponies must be ridden at the Final by the qualifying rider.
You must be fully paid up Dressage, Qualifying or life members of the NPS for 2016 in order to compete at the Final.
At the Final the winners of each section Final for each Test will be required to perform a 4.5 minute freestyle to Music for the judging of the Overall NPS
Supreme Dressage titles. Ponies may only compete in this section once even if they have won both their Preliminary & Novice section Finals.
NPS Team Challenge
A Team Challenge is incorporated in the 2016 Championship Final. Each Team to comprise four ponies and riders who have qualified for any section of
the NPS Supreme Dressage Championships 2015/2016. All four Team Ponies scores to count. Each Pony & Rider combination for Teams may only
compete for one Team.
There will be both Preliminary & Novice Team Championships plus overall Supreme Team awards for Teams competing in both Tests.
Dengie Novice Winter League Qualifier.
Open to all Pony Club Branch and Centre Members that fulfil the following criteria:
Combination of rider and pony/horse are not eligible if they have represented a Branch or Centre at Open or Intermediate Area qualifiers for the Pony
Club Summer Dressage Championships.
Riders are not eligible:
1. If they have competed at The Pony Club Open or Intermediate Summer Dressage
Championships.
2. If they have won any BD (or DI) points at Novice level or above.
Horses are not eligible if they have won points at BD (or DI) Elementary level or above in the current calendar year.
Dengie Intermediate Winter League Qualifier.
Open to all Pony Club Branch and Centre Members that fulfil the following criteria:
Combination of rider and pony/horse are not eligible:
1. If they have represented a Branch or Centre at Open Area qualifiers for the Pony Club Summer Dressage Championships.
2. If they have competed at the Summer or Winter Open Championships.
3. If they have won BD (or DI) Elementary level or above, or competed at Medium Level.
Horses must not have won points at BD (or DI) Elementary level or above in the previous calendar year.
Dengie Open Winter League Qualifier.
Open to all Pony Club Branch and Centre Members.
Horses which have competed at Advanced Medium level or above during the current year are not eligible. This includes Hors Concurs entries.
P(UK) DRESSAGE TOUR
How to Qualify: Download a Qualification card from the P(UK) Website. Achieve a Score of 60% or more in either Prelim or Novice level. Get your
Qualification Card signed by the Judge, Steward or Show Secretary and return to the P(UK) Office together with a £% registration fee per class qualified
for. The office will send email confirmation of registration together with the Schedule and Entry Forms when available to enter the P(UK) Winter Classic
Show.
Rules:
1. Classes will be run according to current British
Dressage Rules.
2. Horses may compete at both Prelim and Novice levels.
3.
Horses may qualify more than once—but may only be entered once per class at the
Championships.
4. The same combination of horse/rider must compete at the Championships.
Health and Safety - the Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be
effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organiser and all Officials and
Stewards.
Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible Neither the Organisers of this event nor any
Agent, employee or representative of this body accepts any Liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, Owners, riders, spectators, land or any other
person or property Whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of Contract or in any way.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND GENERAL INFORMATION
Entries close on the Wednesday before the weekend’s competition- no refund if you cancel after this date. Late entries may be accepted at an additional £1 per class.
Withdrawals must be notified to the Secretary to allow those on a waiting list to be fitted into classes.
All Preliminary Rounds of the Dengie Winter League will be run in accordance with the 2015 Dressage Rule Book and Dengie Dressage Rules 2015/2016. BD Tests will be run
in accordance with BD Rules. All
tests may be called without penalty.
Dressage times will be available from the Secretary on Thursday before the competition between 7pm and 9pm
Objections, accompanied by a deposit of £10, should be made to the Secretary in writing within 15 minutes of the completion of a class. The Chief Steward’s decision is final.
The Organisers reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who’s riding helmet does not conform to Pony Club standards and is not adequately secure when mounted.
SPURS (PC Classes – any Pony Club member wishing to wear spurs must carry written
consent from their DC. (Unless holding “B” test).
