Sound System Specification
Main Loudspeaker System
The main loudspeaker system will be comprised of eight Bose MA‐12 Line arrays, four for main seating
area and four for balcony seating area. These are permanently mounted.
There are two self-powered QSC KW181 for low frequency reinforcement. These will be placed just in
front of proscenium into corner.
There are two Crown XTi 2002 (2000 watt) amplifiers for the main and balcony Bose MA12
loudspeakers.
The main loudspeaker system on its own will be capable of producing in excess of 100db throughout the
main seating area.
Delay System
The main loudspeaker system is supplemented by twenty two delay speakers, six QSC AD‐S82, twelve
AD‐C152ST and six AD‐S62 loudspeakers. Each loudspeaker is on its own delay (except lobby all on same
delay) and has its own amp channel. There are three Crown CT875 eight channel amplifiers for the delay
loudspeakers.
Cinema Sound System
The Cinema Sound System is comprised of four QSC KW153 self-powered loudspeakers. They are
configured as one KW‐153 for left channel, one KW‐153 for right channel and two KW‐153s for center
channel.
There are twenty four QSC AD‐62S for surround sound reinforcement. Each surround sound loudspeaker
shall be independently delayed and have an individual amplifier channel. There are three Crown CT875
Amplifiers for surround sound reinforcement.
There is a Bose Control Space Digital Signal Processor located in the projection booth (Control space #2).
This will allow the input of Dolby 5.1 sound sources via an optical or a coaxial digital input. There are
eight analog inputs that can be routed as necessary for any analog or non-Dolby 5.1 digital inputs.
Main Mixing Console
There is an Avid Digidesign SC48 mixing console. There are 48 mic/line inputs, 16 analog line outputs
and 16 digital outputs via the AES output card option. The console shall have dual redundant power
supplies.
Recording/Playback System
There is a 32 track Avid Pro Tools audio interface included in the Avid Digidesign SC48 mixing console.
Protools 10.3.5 loaded onto an Apple Mac Mini.
Splitter System
There is a transformer isolated splitter with forty eight microphone level 600 ohm inputs and sixteen
150 ohm, line level outputs. Each input and output has a ground lift for hum removal when required.
Monitor loudspeakers
There are four QSC K12 self-powered loudspeakers for monitors. There are options to rent more
speakers or wireless in ear systems when required. Please contact our Technical Director at (207) 680‐

Existing Monitor Console
There is a Mackie 24/4 sound reinforcement mixing console. Using the main left and right outputs plus
six auxiliary outputs will give you a total of eight mix outputs. Option to rent an upgraded monitor
console and monitor drive rack is available by contacting our Technical Director at (207) 680‐7315.
Control System
The system processing and output signal routing is accomplished using a Bose Control Space System.
There are eight Digital AES inputs (Main console feed) and eight analog microphone inputs into the front
of house processor (Control Space #1). There are Optical plus Coaxial Dolby 5.1 inputs and eight analog
microphone inputs in the projection room processor (Control Space #2). Using CobraNet Digital Audio
Format these inputs are routed to two independent processors in the main equipment rack (AR‐1). The
first processor (Control Space #3) is the output for the main loudspeaker system (Bose MA12 and QSC
KW181 subwoofers), two monitor feeds and the house delay system. The second output processor
(Control Space #4) feeds the surround sound system, program output for intercom system and the lobby
speakers. The system is setup with several presets to accomplish the many uses of the facility.
*Live Band Sound System
This system is to be used when 105 dB isn’t adequate to meet Touring Band rider requirements for the
main PA. The Live Band Sound system is comprised of four QSC KW153 and four KW 181 self powered
loudspeakers. There are two KW‐153 and two QSC KW181 sub woofers for left channel, two KW‐153
and four QSC KW181 sub woofers for right channel. The delay and surround system can be used in
addition to the main PA for effect channels or to increase intelligibility throughout the listening area.
The system will produce SPL in excess of 105 dB throughout the listening area.
*Wireless Microphones
There are twelve Shure ULX wireless microphones. There are 12 Shure ULX1 Body Pack Transmitter.
There are 12 Shure 183 (Omni) microphones for body pack transmitters. There are four ULX2 handheld
transmitters with Shure Beta 87 capsules.

Rental/Removal Policy
*Waterville Opera House requires a minimum 14 day (2 week) advance notification in writing for
removal of sound system and to acquire any console upgrades or other rental options.
Waterville Opera House requires a 50% deposit for any sound system removal, upgrade or rental fees 5
business days prior to arrival.
*There is a $1500 fee to remove and restore house sound system when required to accommodate
touring acts.
