Castor oil compress
Requirements:
• Castor oil 250ml (100% castor oil with no additives, available at pharmacies or drug stores)
• Bowl
• Cotton cloth the size of your abdomen
• A piece of plastic wrap the size of your belly
• 2 medium towels
• Hot water bottle with hot water
Method:
• Place a cotton cloth in the bowl
• Cover the cloth with castor oil and make sure it is completely saturated with the oil without
dripping (mix with your hands)
• Lie down
• Lay the cloth on your abdomen, cover the cloth with plastic wrap and place your towel over
it
• Place a hot water bottle (preferably not a cherry pit pillow for the microwave) on your belly
and cover again with a towel/blanket (so the heat does not dissipate)
• Leave on 30 to 45 minutes
• Remove the towels and plastic wrap. Fold the cloth and store in a sealed jar/carton in the
refrigerator for reuse
• Drink plenty of water or herbal tea to drain toxins
• The same cloth can be reused many times
• After 25 to 30 times, start with a new piece of cloth and fresh oil
Caution:
• Do not use the pack if you are pregnant, or even in the period after ovulation if you are
trying to become pregnant
• Do not use the compress during menstruation, especially during heavy bleeding
• A castor oil compress detoxifies by moving old blood out of the uterus
• Do not use the compress on broken skin
