Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the
current CHJA/CHSA/M&S/NEHC rule book will be conducted and judged herewith.
To show in CHJA and NEHC Medal classes, riders MUST be members.
In order to compete for CHJA/CHSA annual year end awards, the owner of the horse or
pony must be a member of the CHJA/CHSA and the horse or pony must be registered with
the CHJA/CHSA. A copy of the M&S/NEHC/CHJA/CHSA Rule Book, class specifications,
Medal class specifications, and membership applications are available at the show
secretary's office and online.
Every animal entered for competition shall be under the control of show management;
but Fox Crossing Equestrian will in no way be responsible for any
loss, accident or damage that may occur by fire or otherwise and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor, spectator, trainer and attendant hold Fox Crossing
Equestrian, its members, employees and agents harmless for
any loss or damage that may occur to any persons, animals or property at the show.
If any questions or disputes arise, same will be referred to the steward & show committee, whose decision shall be final.
Exhibitors are responsible for having accurate and current memberships for all organizations which require the same. Any fines levied against the horseshow for incorrect
exhibitor memberships shall be the responsibility of the exhibitor.
$50 Fee for any returned checks, or unpaid entries that must be billed.
Entries close 24 hours prior to show (9AM the day prior). Post entries $20.
Warm Up Trip is open all day. Non-judged. Multiple trips permitted @$15 pertrip.
Management reserves the right to cancel, combine or divide classed if warranted.
Management also reserves the right to vary the officials, including the judge if
Necessary, and to change the courses at their discretion.
To be eligible to show in a Stake or Classic, exhibitors must enter and show and
complete the course in at least 2 over fences classes in that division.
10. We request that you LEAVE DOGS HOME. Any dogs on the property MUST be
leashed andunder control. $100 fine for loose or unruly dogs.

Last class of the pleasure divisions will be the championship class.

CLASS SPECIFICATIONS
Schooling Hunter—Open to any horse/rider combination. Fences 2’
Leadline—Open to competitors who have not reached their 7th birthday and have not competed in
any other classes at a recognized show other than leadline. CHSA/CHJA
Short Stirrup Hunter— Open to junior riders 12 & under who are eligible for Short Stirrup Eq.
CHJA/CHSA
Walk Trot—Open to riders 10 & under who have not shown at the canter or jump at a recognized
show. Riders may not cross enter into short stirrup classes. CHSA/CHJA
Pre-Children’s Hunter—Open to junior riders who are eligible for Limit Eq. Fence height 2’0”. At the
same show, horse/rider combination may not cross enter into Children’s Hunter Horse/Pony, Pony
Hunters, or any class where fences exceed 2’6”. CHJA/CHSA
Beginner 11 & Over—Open to riders 11 & over who have not shown at the canter at a recognized
show. CHSA/FWPHA
Short Stirrup Equitation —Open to riders 12 & under who have never competed over fences exceeding 18” at a recognized show. CHSA/CHJA
Long Stirrup Equitation —Open to riders 18 years of age who are in their first years showing.
Fences 18” - 2’. CHSA
Children’s Hunter—Open to junior riders eligible for Intermediate Eq. Same horse/rider combination
may not cross enter into any other rated division except Eq or Pleasure. Riders may not show in any
other class where fences exceed 3’6”. Horse/ponies may be shown by another rider in the same show
in any class/division except Junior Hunters or regular pony hunters. Small/Medium Ponies 2’, Larges
2’6”, Horses 3’. CHJA/CHSA
Modified Adult Hunter—Open to riders eligible for Modified Eq. Fences 2’6”. CHJA/CHSA
Pre-Children’s Equitation — Open to junior riders eligible for Limit equitation who have never show
over fences exceeding 2’6” at a recognized show. Fence height 2’0”. At the same show, riders may
not cross enter into Child Eq, Children’s Hunter Horse/Pony, Pony Hunters, any medal class over 2’,
or any class where fences exceed 2’6”. CHJA/CHSA
Modified Children’s Hunter -To be ridden by Junior Exhibitors who are eligible for Children's Equitation.
Open to both horses or ponies. Fence height 2'6", spreads not to exceed fence height. No combinations.Same horse or pony/rider combination cannot enter any over fence classes exceeding 2'6" at the
same show.
Children’s Equitation—Open to junior riders who are eligible for Children’s Hunter, have not competed over fences exceeding 3’, and have never shown in the CHJA Junior Medal Finals. Fences 2’
for S/M Ponies. 2’6” for Larges/Horse. CHJA/CHSA
Low Hunter—Open to all horse/rider combinations. Fences 2’6’
Junior Equitation—Open to all junior riders. Riders may not cross enter into Children’s Eq. Fences
3’. CHJA/CHSA
Adult Equitation— Open to all adult amateur riders. Fences 2’9” - 3’ CHJA/CHSA
Modified Adult Equitation — Open to adult riders who have not won 6 blue ribbons in equitation
except for Modified Adults.
For amateurs who have won 6 blue ribbons, they are eligible for Modified Adult if, as of Dec 1 of the current show year, they have not shown in classes with fences 3’ or
higher at more than three recognized horse shows within the past two show years. CHJA/CHSA
Open Equitation—Open to all junior riders. Under 12 to jump 2’. 12-14 to jump 2’6”, 15-17 to jump
3’. CHJA/CHSA.
CHSA Medals: Riders must be eligible for the respective division. Entries need not be members of
CHSA to participate, but must be members for points to count towards finals. 3 to fill a class. 2
tests incorporated in the course.
