Daudia camp in Amdei district (UNHABITAT/IOM camp) is now open for relocation with a capacity of
900 Families
Barmane and Inishke tent settlements in Amedi are now closed following the relocation to Daudia
camp
Relocation of IDPs from Non camp to camps; Mammillian (Akre District) and Bardarash (Bardarash
district) is also on going.
Bardarash tent settlement is also closed following relocation of IDPs to Bardarash camp
23 Families have also been relocated from Deraboun tent settlement to Mammilian camp.

Contingency Planning for Zummar and Sinjar case load.

On Thursday 8th The Mayor of Zummar and local authorities held a briefing session with Humanitarian
actors in Dohuk
Returnees and the need for support was discussed during the meeting
Around 70,000 individuals are reported to have returned to Zummar. Zummar population was
estimated 120,000 before the crisis.
The Mayor Identified key areas that are needed for support
Around 500 houses are estimated to be inhabitable /destroyed




Action point:
 The cluster working closely with OCHA is required to come up with a contingency plan for these
caseloads
 The cluster will develop the first version of the plan and share with all
 Organizations interested in supporting the return program/discussion include; Mission East, MedAir,
IOM, NRC, TearFund, and UNHCR.
 Draft contingency plan to be ready in few days (No specific timeline mentioned )

Kerosene distribution.






UNHCR has so far done Kerosene distribution in Kabarto, Qadia, Essien, Mammilian and BK Camps
9280 Families have so far been reached with 1,853,300 litres
UNHCR plans to target another 8700 families with Kerosene
The government is also doing distribution for the Non-camp population
The cluster members are requested to coordinate their distribution in order to cover the gaps .
Reporting and coordination.

Information sharing/ reporting with the cluster is of high importance. This will ensure gaps
identification and avoid service duplication in some areas
Activity/ reports need to be coordinated with the cluster to avoid overlapping on service delivery
Cluster distribution charts has been shared and is recommended each member to use the same in
reporting






Completed commodity voucher distribution for 1400Households in Zakho
Planning for renewed assessment in Zakho-Gaps Identification
Also looking into assisting the Returnees on shelter program
Mission East:


Completed winterization kits distribution in Batufa
Planning to support Deraboun and Baadre areas with winterization (TBC)

FRC:



Finished with winterization voucher distribution for 1400 households in villages surrounding sharia
Gas distribution is planned for this week covering unfinished buildings in sharia.
NFIs distribution is planned for next week on the same location
LWF:


Planning to support on Shelter and NFIs.
No specific areas identified so far(TBC)
ACF:



Secured funding for more than 1,000 winterization kits.
ACF will coordinate with SC which has 450 CRI kits
Target areas to be confirmed
ICRC:

Currently doing distributions of NFIs (blankets, stoves) in Kasrook and sheekan areas.
GRC:

Has 3,000 winterization kits and is targeting Chamisku camp and Faida. This distribution is planned for
this week following coordination with UNHCR and the camp mangers
DORCAS:


Heaters and Kerosene distribution done before the Christmas holidays targeting 500 Families in Zakho
Distribution is currently on going on in Zakho unfinished buildings for another 500 Families
NRC:

Distribution of 2000 winterization (sealing off kits ) on going in Amedi and Dohuk
IOM:



Planning for 1,000 NFI kits distribution (next week). Location TBC
Kerosene voucher for 2,400 and 4300 cloths voucher distribution is planned for this week. This will be
for camps specific (within Zakho)
3000 sealing off kits for Semel and Zakho unfinished building is also on the plan.
TearFund:


Plans to do winterization cash for villages in Batel, Semel and Zawita
TearFund is also planning on doing sealing off in Sheekhan for 400 Households


Distributed winter jackets, shoes and children gift box in Dohuk, Baadre, Sheekhan and Akre districts
Currently planning for the arrival and distribution of 10,000 OCC children gift boxes and 50,000 Tom
shoes and supply for more jackets.
Areas for distribution will be coordinated with the cluster.

Started distribution of Kerosene and barrel voucher targeting IDPs from Mosul, Falluja (Old caseloads )
The target is 1150 Families. Distribution starts this week
SC also did distribution of Hygiene kits in Kabarto 1 (full hygiene kits)
Baby kits distribution is planned for sharia-17th Jan

Involved in camp management mentorship program with UNHCR, DRC and NRC.

UNOPs have planned distribution of solar lamps and solar powered heaters-UNHCR to invite UNOPs to
the meeting
The cluster meeting will be held on bi-weekly basis
Next meeting is scheduled for Sunday 25th January 2015, Domiz- DMC conference room.
