Surf Snowdonia
Four Cymru liaised with Beyond Content with regards to shooting in Snowdonia for TV and online news
channels, both national and international. Four Cymru organised a hotel and itinerary for the filming group over
the weekend of 25/26 July. The film crew shot Bounce Below, Zipworld Caverns and Mountain Biking with Antur
Stiniog. There was a second session of filming on the evening of 30 and on 31 July, to capture Surf Snowdonia, as
well as Zipworld and canyoning with Snowdonia Adventure Activities. Four Cymru shared the B-Roll links with
Visit Wales for approval.
Four Cymru liaised with David Hasselhoff’s agent with regards to organising for David to appear at the launch of
Surf Snowdonia. Unfortunately, David was unavailable.
Four Cymru held a conference call with Visit Wales to discuss activity around the launch of Surf Snowdonia. Four
Cymru provided a timeline to highlight exactly what activity is being carried out.
Four Cymru collated all coverage following the launch and shared with Visit Wales.
Four Cymru is liaising with Mumsnet with regards to arranging for a family to be one of the first to try out Surf
Snowdonia, and has also been discussing summer trips with other family titles including Family Traveller and
First News.
Adventure Pod
Four Cymru liaised with Visit Wales regarding the Adventure Pod, which has now been conditionally approved.
Four Cymru will provide a list of target press once it is confirmed exactly which locations the pod will be visiting.
Travel GBI
Four Cymru provided Samantha Mayling with content for the September issue of Travel GBI focussed on the
Year of Adventure.
Traverse
Four Cymru confirmed with Traverse that Visit Wales would like to go ahead and hold the 2016 event in Cardiff.

Conference
Four Cymru provided Visit Wales with details of the Adventure Travel Conference which precedes the Adventure
Travel Show in January. Four Cymru suggested launching the Year of Adventure at the show. Four Cymru
discussing sponsorship opportunities with Wanderlust, who are associated with the event.

Four Cymru liaised with Paul Landricombe on companies and organisations that could be pitched to take part in
TechBritannia’s Tech Torch Tour. Four collated this information, and sent it across to the journalist at the
publication, Eric Doyle, to gauge his interest. Agency to follow up.

Four Cymru created a template for the Welsh Government’s business development managers to use when
providing information for PR. This will enable us to gather sufficient information to determine whether or not a
story has PR potential

Reviewed information received from Paul Landricombe and Stella Llewellyn on innovative companies in Wales.
Conducted some of our own research online.


Spoke to Chris Probert in Innovation for background information on iViTi. Also spoke to Trefor Jones,
the company founder. Four now has sufficient information to pitch a story to The Guardian
Had an initial conversation with Gwyn Tudor, the editor of Advances magazine for additional information
on The Book of You – which Four identified in a recent issue as a good potential innovation story.

Four Cymru had an initial conversation with Lynette Newington regarding an Alert Logic case study and video
testimonial that Four would write/ record. Awaiting go-ahead from Lynette to proceed
