Paying for Meals
PRE-PAY for Meals through
Mynutrikids.com
You can prepay for meals with a major credit card through the internet with mynutrikids.com.
Please note that when Nutrikids asks for a pin number, the student ID number and the
pin number are the same.
You can also view your child's account balance, meal purchases and payment history on the internet, and
even be notified by email when the account balance is low, by registering online with Mynutrikids.com.
You do not have to make prepayments to use this feature. You may also pay into an account for
your child with cash or check sent to the school cafeteria.
If paying with cash, Submit payment in a regular envelope or yellow envelope that is provided at the
cafeteria for your convenience. Write the first and last name of the student along with the grade and
teacher’s name. The amount of the cash payment should also be written on the outside of the envelope.
When paying by check, Write your students first and last name on the check. If you know the student
ID number put it on the check too. Submit payment in a regular envelope or yellow envelope that is
provided at the cafeteria for your convenience.
Please make sure your child has money for lunch every day. If you need to know how much money is on
your child’s account, you may call (760) 752-1253 or email your request to rose.howell@smusd.org. The
cafeteria cashier can also tell your child the account balance.
CHARGE Policy
Child Nutrition Services has a LIMITED charge policy. If a student arrives at school without
money, they are allowed up to $3.00 in charges at elementary school and $3.50 at middle school and
$3.75 in high school. Charges are not allowed for a la carte.
If your child arrives at school without money for lunch and has reached the charge limit, he/she will be
provided an alternate meal (such as a cheese sandwich and milk). No alternate meal will be provided for
breakfast. To prevent your child from having to receive an alternate meal, please ensure that you send
money for your student's meals each day, or prepay for the meals in advance.
