CARDIO CLASSES
Our group mat classes provide you with a variety of exercises based on the Pilates
principles ensuring a safe and effective workout. Each class provides you with
options for level of intensity and props to assist you or challenge you. Our
instructors will provide you with expert instruction and help you personalize the
workout for your body.
The Reformer is the key piece of equipment in a Pilates studio. This unique piece
of equipment utilizes springs as resistance. The reformer moves smoothly and
easily to decrease joint strain and improve core connection and muscular
function. Reformer training allows you to work your body in all
positions…standing, sitting, kneeling or lying down making it one of the most safe
and effective workouts.
Basic Reformer - This class is designed for the participant who has completed
the private training requirements and is looking for a group class setting. You will
continue to learn new exercises from the Essential Reformer repertoire while you
build a more solid understanding of the Reformer in preparation for upper level
classes.
Reformer Level 1 - This class is appropriate for anyone looking to move
beyond Basic Reformer and for those ready to add more challenge to their
workout. Modifications will be provided as needed, so don’t think you have to be
an expert to enter this level but be prepared for introduction to use of small
equipment to add challenge to exercises.
Reformer Level 2 - This workout is an intense, moderate-paced challenge with
both Essential and Intermediate Reformer exercises woven together to create a
smooth flow. This class is one of the more challenging on our schedule, so be
prepared to take yourself to the next level!
Wanting to improve your cardiovascular fitness? Add one of our combo cardio
classes or come and stay for 30 minutes of cardio only…your choice!
Mixed Levels Mat - This class is designed to accommodate all levels of ability
in Pilates Mat work. Different levels of challenge will be offered during class, so
whether you are just starting out or have been doing Pilates for years you will
find the appropriate challenge in this class!
Ball Pilates - Get ready to have a ball! This workout is a challenge with the large
stability ball, toning balls and a small inflatable ball. Its ability to challenge
stability and balance while promoting flexibility and power makes for a
stimulating and unique workout!
Functional Fitness - Challenge your body in all planes of motion. This advanced
class will change the way you look at fitness. Improve your stability, flexibility and
control while moving your body in all directions.
Older, Fitter, Better - This speciality class helps older adults meet their health
Reformer Level 3 - This workout is an intense, fast-paced challenge with both
and fitness needs. Posture, balance and stability are a major focus. All work is
done seated in a chair or standing for a safe and effective environment.
Essential and Intermediate Reformer exercises put together into a smoothflowing class with little room to rest! This level of Reformer workout will also
introduce you to some of the athletic-based exercises.
Combo Reformer and Cardio Glide - Add some cardio to your Reformer
workouts. Cardio Gliding is a high intensity cardiovascular workout with no
impact. Get your heart rate up and tone your lower body. This class is 25 minutes
of cardio and 30 minutes of Reformer.
NEW! Reformer Challenge – This reformer class challenges your core & total
body strength while elevating your heart rate. As always focus is placed proper
form and technique.
Stroke Survivor Pilates - Our Stroke Survivors class is a combination of
strength and control for both affected and non-affected sides. This unique class
provides the motivation and support for stroke survivors to improve their
function and abilities.
TRX - TRX is suspension training. This one of a kind workout uses your body
weight as the resistance. Suspension Training® allows for the use of multiple
planes of motion and works multiple muscles and joints simultaneously but is
easy to adapt for all levels of ability by changing how you position your body. A
great functional, 3D workout for those who already are familiar with how to
activate their core.
PFilates™ Pelvic Floor Conditioning– “Pelvic Floor Health is a Fitness Issue!”
Join us to practice the 10 essential PFilates™ exercises that are scientifically
proven to activate and strengthen your pelvic floor, abs and tone your lower
body all at the same time!
Functional Flexibility - Flexibility is one of the most important aspects of
fitness. This Class will guide your body through a series of stretches that promote
correct body alignment and over all well-being. It highlights the importance of
engaging the core which will reduce the risk of injury, back pain, increases range
of motion, flexibility and balance. Stretching assists with relaxation, flexibility,
strength and fitness.
Cardio Glide - A graceful alternative to aerobic, cardio gliding provides a full
body toning and sculpting workout with NO impact that helps you engage
multiple muscle groups while stabilizing your body using your core. It’s simple yet
super effective, making it easy to use regardless of skill level, age or coordination.
Cardio Boxing - Have fun, train hard and see results in this high energy cardio
and toning work out! This hour long class is guaranteed to get that heart rate
pumping to burn calories in a full body workout.
HIIT – High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT for short) is cardiovascular training
that alternates short, high intensity intervals with longer slower intervals for
recovery. This type of training has been proven to increase athletic performance,
and improves the body’s ability to burn fat. Join us for some HIIT training and
take your cardio fitness to a new level!
NEW! Core Reformer - This class will keep you focused on the core Principles
of Pilates to build strength and endurance from the inside out. This class is for all
levels with focus being on technique and core stability.
NEW! Power Reformer –This half hour class is great for the lunch hour to get
your work out in. It will be a fast-paced challenge with both Essential and
Intermediate Reformer exercises put together to make it a full body work out!
Note: All group reformer classes require private or semi-private prep classes prior to enrolling.
