Outline
Topic: Archaeological Evidence for Ritual Purity at Qumran
Introduction
Thesis: With evidence through the archaeology at Qumran, and textually through the Dead Sea Scrolls,
the Yahad observed strict purity laws in order to maintain their piety and to fulfill law given to them by
God.
This is a very rough thesis. I am still not sure what I am trying to prove. So this thesis will develop
as I work.
Section 1: the Archaeology at Qumran
Section 2: the Purity laws as told through the DSS.
Section 3: the Connections between text and ruins.
Conclusion.
